Surveys in the Beth-Shean Valley

Studies on the settlement pattern in the Beth-Shean Valley are based to a large extent on data assembled during many years by the late N.Zori.

 

1. Beth-Shean Valley in the Middle Bronze Age.

The study was carried out by A.Maeir in the framework of a Ph.D thesis in the Hebrew University. This research was concentration on the settlement pattern in the valley during the Middle Bronze Age. It included also comparative analysis of the Early Bronze and Late Bronze settlement in the valley.

2. Detailed survey of an area of 15X10 km around Tel Rehov, from the Gilboa ridge to the Jordan river. Carried out by A.Cahn, in a framework of an M.A. thesis submitted to the Hebrew University.
