Academic Credit

In addition to this general educational program, an academic program will be offered to students who wish to obtain academic credit, both undergraduate and graduate. This credit will be granted from the Rothberg International School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. It is the students’ responsibility to ensure the viability of this credit with the home institution home university.

The credit program will be offered during the first three weeks of the dig and will provide 4 credits, while those interested in 6 credits must participate in the entire six weeks of excavation. The program will include the abovementioned lecture series, as well as in-depth training in archaeological fieldwork: excavation techniques, stratigraphy, field drawing of plans and sections, documentation methods. In addition, all credit students must participate in the abovementioned two Sunday field trips (included in the cost of credit).

 

Tuition Cost:

Four transferable academic credits:  $600

Six transferable academic credits: $900

+ 60$ registration fee demanded by the Hebrew University.

Additional information will be provided specifically for those students registering for academic credit.
