Educational Program During the course of the excavation, we
offer a series of bi-weekly lectures and short local field trips for all the
volunteers. These lectures provide an overview of the archaeology of Israel,
and specifically the Beth-Shean Valley, during the various periods, with an
emphasis on the Iron Age II, the main period being excavated on our tel. All
volunteers are welcome to participate in these activities and enrich their
knowledge and connection to the archaeological endeavor they partake. In
addition, two day field trips will be offered on Sundays at an additional
cost. These trips will cover many sites of archaeological, historical and
biblical interest and will be guided by professional archaeologists. |
