The Tel Rehov Excavations - 2008

We will be  back in the field in the summer of 2008 (June 29 - July 18 2008 ). We look forward to seeing you join us then!

The Tel Rehov project, a major excavation in northeastern Israel, is offering volunteers an opportunity to participate in this important dig in the 2008 season.

In 2008 we plan a short season of three weeks, focusing on exposing more of the beehive area in Area C. We will be accepting only a limited number of volunteers and we will not be offering academic credit this season.

The season will run from June 29 until July 18, 2008. We will be staying at Kibbutz Nir David as usual.
Interested applicants can download the application on our website. The deadline for application is April 1, 2008.

The excavation, part of the continuing Beth-Shean Valley Archaeological Project, is led by Professor Amihai Mazar of Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and sponsored by a generous donation by Mr. John Camp. An international staff of professional archaeologists, various experts, and Bible specialists will lead the field work and we welcome volunteers from all walks of life to partake of this broadening and exciting experience.
